my bf was driving to his dads on his HD VROD, and a man ran out into US 41, in Naples FL, bf swerved but the man went the same way, bf flipped over his bike and was injured very badly scraped up alot of skin missing, he was wearing a helmet,
the old man that walked across had a bad leg injury!
they both were sent to hospital. The police gave the old man a jay walkign citation and bf is still in recovering this happened yesterday he is at home but badly hurt and iwll miss alot of work.
we are seeing an attorney tomorrow morning i took lots of pics, of his wounds,….this is insane the old man almost killed my bf. it’s a christmas miracle nothing worse happened….both survived!
does anyone have any experiance with this type of settlement,
by will miss work, his bike is wrecked and only has liability insurance,we are both 21, this financial mess is already bad enoough we can’t afford the deductable, this bike was his only transport…help??

Question by : Am I depressed? What bad things can come out of it?
I think I’m depressed because my dreams have been crushed.
I’m a high school senior, always done good A’s and B’s, I’ve done some extra curriculum but not many because I always do odd jobs after school. My SAT scores were pretty decent, and I’m the only one in my family who cares about education. Actually I’m the only to has read past 5 books (from my siblings, not my parents, even though my dad never went to school he taught himself how to read and write and has read countless books, but he doesn’t live with me), I stayed out of gangs and drugs (even though during middle school I almost took that path) and for that reason I barely leave the house (always problems)
I always wanted to make my mom proud and go college, but I just found out that that might never happen. I immigrated here when I was 9 years old, and just found out that as an undocumented person I can’t receive any financial help (I’m poor) and even if for some miracle I did, I still can’t use my degree to get a job. Even if I would become a doctor, I would still end up working in construction or something for being undocumented.
I feel bad, down, sad, and every time I think about what I’m going to do after high school I get this feeling in my chest, like its getting ripped apart, its not pain its just this horrible felling. It doesn’t hurt, it’s like somebody its just stabbing my soul right in the center of the chest.
Am I depressed? what can happen to my health if I keep being?

Answer by Workin’ Gal Talk to your school counselor first thing. Next thing to do is make a plan. Make several plans with the knowledge that you don’t have to stick to any of them. Tell yourself it’s ok not to know what you want to do now.
If you are depressed then you need to keep busy with hobbies and friends. Make new friends and start a blog online. Buy a new game to play or a book, whatever gets your motor running.
Focus on yourself and self improvement. Give time to yourself. Book a spa appointment for a massage or something. Practice meditation if that’s your thing.
Sounds like you may have a bit of anxiety though, not necessarily depression. The pang in your chest is a symptom of anxiety.
symptoms of depression are not wanting to do anything, not caring about anything, tired lots, angry easily, you don’t feel like getting out of bed, showering or even eating sometimes.
