Question by Les R: Why have a medicare secondary insurance coverage?
I have asked this before and find that it is needed only in cases where there are large bills left over after medicare pays what they will. But, can’t you deal with the medical industry and get them to accept only what your medicare will pay before the procedures occur? I spend over $ 1200.00 per year on secondary insurance and their coverage is usually pretty crappy, like 80% of the 20% medicare doesn’t pay. Since I’ve been on medicare the secondary coverage people are making out like bandits.
