Question by beebopper: In American English – what does ‘Coverage’ refer to when talking about insurance and warranties?
In the UK we often talk about having insurance cover (this is that we have taken out an insurance policy (or ‘insurance cover’ as it is sometimes known)). However I understand that in America people refer to taking out insurance as insurance ‘coverage’. As an American would you understand what I was talking about if I just referred to needing insurance cover and not coverage?
Thanks for any help you can provide on this one : )
