I’m starting an online business with a friend which must have the ability to let users to buy and sell digital content in various formats such as word documents, PDFs, text files, and the like. Is there an eCommerce Content Management System that would be capable of something like that?

The only thing I know that can do that is Paypal, but they cost money. But the nice thing about Paypal is it will automatically send the download link to the buyer- so your work is done as soon as you set up the web page (and download page).
