1963 There is something about this Lam di lam di la that cheers me up
Ok there was a problem with some comments that I had to mark as spam. More trouble like this and I will have to disable comments, sorry. A few things I have to say: If you can’t express your opinion without swearing, don’t do it. If you are going to answer rudely to someone, don’t do it, even if you’re not the one who started it. And I don’t understand at all how this song is racist…it is not about calling a black person a ‘monkey’, it is about a dance that was called ‘mickey’s monkey’ back in the 60s, because the moves kind of look like a monkey swinging, and it’s fun to do no matter if you’re black or white, period. If you can’t listen and enjoy oldies for what they are, stay away from this kind of music.
Question by ArcticFang: What happen too Jesus love & understanding when he attack the money changers with cords?
Wasn’t Jesus supposed to be all forgiving when he attack the money changers; quick little recap.
1. He was at the temple at twelve
2. He went missing for about 20 years
3. Got Baptiste by John
4. Spent 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness being tempted by satin
5. He then went on to do some miracles
6. He then went to passover, got mad, found some cords and start whipping and attacking money changers at the temple.
Where was the kind and loving Jesus, why subcome to anger and hate, what happen to resolve and understanding, to show them or preach what they were doing was wrong at God’s Jewish Temple. Maybe do another miracle, maybe the miracle of reasoning to change their minds.
According to the synoptics, Jesus targeted specifically the money changers and the dove sellers and justified his actions by quoting from the Book of Isaiah and the Book of Jeremiah:
In my opinion “They’re could have been other uses for the money changers other than the temple, who could changed the standard Greek and Roman money for Jewish and Tyrian money for passing travelers from one country to another; and during passover, I’m sure most business where close for who believed, but for others they may not have for the day, and the only place to hold it at is in front of the Jewish Temple”
So why would a kind loving son of God, the guy who would offer you the other cheek, someone who would talk to resolve an issue would resort to violence and to use cord to whip money changers.
so far 5 people couldn’t tell me why would a kind loving son of God, the guy who would offer you the other cheek, someone who would talk to resolve an issue would resort to violence and to use cord to whip money changers
so far 7 people couldn’t tell me why would a kind loving son of God, the guy who would offer you the other cheek, someone who would talk to resolve an issue would resort to violence and to use cord to whip money changers.
Even on the cross, he was willing to die for the sins of man, why would he attack a few money changers if he was willing to do it anyways.

nice case in point, but… it wasnt’ so for it is written
13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!”
No reason, no love, no talking, just attacking. It wasn’t passover yet, as stated it was almost time for the Jewish passover.
@Linda
True, but we have police to call upon, and back then they did have law and order, and the roman guards to keep the peace. Jesus could have make a request to see Pontius Pilate to settle it.
Otherwise will have more people like Scott Roeder (a christian) who killed Dr. George Tiller (another christian) cause he did abortions.
