Question by Lorenz: Religious people: How can you make the distinction between answered prayers and mere coincidence?
This is a question particularly aimed towards religious fundamentalists, so i’m supposing that you believe your religion is the “true” religion. You probably discredit the “answered prayers” of members of other faiths as mere coincidences, but I’m guessing that you attribute your “answered prayers” as legitimate workings of God.
So how can you make the distinction between coincidence and answered prayers? Do you simply believe your “answered prayers” are legitimately from God simply because you believe your particular religion is the true one?
Why shouldn’t I believe that this is all nonsense because ALL answered prayers are actually coincidences because God is imaginary.
Explain yourselves.
