Question by The Least of Jesus’ Brothers: What kinds of prayers are answered?
What are the requirements to have a prayer seriously considered by God?
I have been given numerous reasons why certain prayers aren’t answered, some of them (like praying for a job) would require God to influence someone else’s (the person doing the hiring) free will. Sometimes I am told that I cannot pray for selfish things (like winning a game). Sometimes I am told that only the prayers of TRUE Christians are heard.
So what are the rules for prayer? What can I ask for? Obviously many thanks will be given for all the great stuff, but what is a little request now and then?
