Question by Pluckiducki: Are fraud detector services worth it? Is there a better program that would protect all accounts?
Currently paying 8.00 for fraud detector on a card that the balance just got paid off of. When i tried to cancel the service i was hit with all the gloom and doom of what could happen if i didn’t have it. Is that a reasonable price to be paying?

I feel it is not worth it. You can keep track of your own credit cards on your own by using only one card and keeping an eye on your statements. Keep all your receipts and match them against your statement each month. You can get a free credit report from all 3 credit reporting agencies by asking for them which is another way for you to keep track of your idenity theft. Most credit card companies will only hold you responsible for only a small amount if your card is fraudently used. Check your credit card rules and regulations.
